Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia is committed to maintaining academic integrity, scientific quality, and publication ethics throughout the entire scientific article publishing process. This publication ethics statement is prepared as a guideline for authors, editors, reviewers (peer reviewers), and all parties involved in the journal publication process.
This journal publication ethics policy refers to the principles of transparency, objectivity, professionalism, and academic integrity in supporting the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Agrotechnology, Agribusiness, and Environment.
1. Author Ethics
Authors have the responsibility to present original, accurate, and academically accountable scientific work. Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is the result of research or scientific study that has never been published and is not under consideration by another journal.
Authors are required to:
- Present research data honestly, objectively, and without manipulation.
- Ensure the originality of scientific work and freedom from plagiarism.
- Properly cite all reference sources in accordance with scientific standards.
- List authors’ names based on actual contributions to the research and article writing.
- Disclose sources of research funding, if any.
- Be willing to revise the manuscript based on the evaluations and recommendations of editors and reviewers.
- Comply with research ethics and scientific publication standards.
Authors are prohibited from:
- Engaging in fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of research data.
- Submitting the same article to more than one journal simultaneously.
- Committing plagiarism in any form.
- Using data, images, tables, or works of others without permission and proper citation.
If a violation of publication ethics is identified, the editorial board reserves the right to reject, retract, or cancel the publication of the article.
2. Editor Ethics
Editors are responsible for maintaining the quality of scientific publications and ensuring that the editorial process is conducted professionally, objectively, and fairly.
Editors are responsible for:
- Determining the suitability of articles based on scientific quality and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.
- Conducting the editorial process without discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation of the authors.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts.
- Avoiding conflicts of interest in the editorial decision-making process.
- Ensuring that the peer-review process is conducted objectively and independently.
- Making publication decisions based on review results, scientific quality, and the contribution of the research to the advancement of knowledge.
Editors are not permitted to use unpublished information for personal benefit without the author’s permission.
3. Reviewer Ethics (Peer Reviewers)
Reviewers assist editors in evaluating the scientific quality of manuscripts objectively and constructively.
Reviewers are required to:
- Conduct reviews professionally, objectively, and in a timely manner.
- Provide clear, scientific, and constructive feedback to authors.
- Maintain the confidentiality of reviewed manuscripts.
- Identify possible plagiarism, duplicate publication, or violations of research ethics.
- Decline to review manuscripts when a conflict of interest exists with the author, institution, or research topic.
Reviewers are not permitted to use information contained in manuscripts for personal benefit or their own research without the author’s permission.
4. Peer Review Process
Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia implements a peer-review system as part of its scientific publication selection and quality assurance process. Each submitted manuscript will undergo the following stages:
- Initial screening by the editor.
- Assessment of suitability with the journal’s scope and manuscript formatting requirements.
- Plagiarism screening.
- Review process conducted by reviewers or peer reviewers.
- Editorial decision based on the review results.
The review process is conducted objectively to ensure the quality, validity, and scientific contribution of published articles.
5. Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia rejects all forms of plagiarism and violations of academic ethics. All manuscripts will be examined using similarity detection software.
Manuscripts proven to contain:
- plagiarism,
- data fabrication,
- research falsification,
- or duplicate publication,
will be rejected or retracted from publication.
6. Open Access Policy
Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia adopts an Open Access policy to support the broad dissemination of knowledge. All articles can be accessed, read, and downloaded freely by the public without any charge.
7. Conflict of Interest
All parties involved in the publication process are required to avoid conflicts of interest that may affect the objectivity of evaluations and editorial decision-making.
Conflicts of interest may include personal, institutional, financial, or academic relationships that have the potential to influence the independence of the publication process.
8. Corrections, Retractions, and Article Withdrawal
Editors have the right to issue:
- article corrections,
- clarifications,
- editorial statements,
- or article retractions,
if significant errors, publication ethics violations, data manipulation, or invalid information are discovered after the article has been published.
