Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia implements an Article Withdrawal Policy as part of its commitment to maintaining academic integrity, editorial professionalism, and the quality of scientific publications. This policy applies to all articles submitted to, processed by, or published in the journal.
Submission of a manuscript to Jurnal Analisa Tropika Indonesia indicates that the author has understood and agreed to all editorial processes, peer-review procedures, revision requirements, and publication policies applicable to the journal.
Article Withdrawal Before Publication
Authors are permitted to request the withdrawal of a manuscript before publication for reasons that can be academically and ethically justified.
A withdrawal request must:
- be formally submitted by the corresponding author,
- include a clear explanation of the reason for withdrawal,
- and obtain approval from all authors of the article.
Withdrawal requests must be submitted through the journal’s official email address or the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform used by the journal.
The editor will evaluate the withdrawal request before making a final decision.
Acceptable Reasons for Withdrawal
Article withdrawal may be considered under the following circumstances:
- significant errors are identified in the research data or analysis,
- methodological errors are found that affect the validity of the research results,
- unintentional duplicate submission of the article has occurred,
- research ethics issues are identified,
- or other academically justifiable reasons exist.
Unethical Withdrawal
Withdrawal of an article that has already entered the stages of:
- peer review,
- substantial revision,
- copyediting,
- layout editing,
- or publication processing,
without a clear and valid reason is considered unethical because it may disrupt the editorial process and waste the time and contributions of editors and reviewers.
The following actions are categorized as unethical withdrawal:
- withdrawing an article after receiving an acceptance recommendation without a valid academic reason,
- submitting the article to another journal while it is still under consideration by this journal,
- failing to respond to editorial communications for an extended period without notification,
- or requesting withdrawal solely to expedite publication in another journal.
Under certain circumstances, the journal reserves the right to:
- reject future submissions from the author,
- restrict article submissions for a specified period,
- or take other editorial actions in accordance with publication ethics policies.
Article Retraction After Publication
Editors reserve the right to retract published articles if any of the following are identified:
- plagiarism,
- data fabrication or falsification,
- violations of research ethics,
- duplicate publication,
- undisclosed conflicts of interest,
- significant scientific errors,
- or copyright infringement.
The retraction process is conducted based on editorial evaluation and may involve clarification from the authors and/or related institutions.
Retracted articles will remain recorded within the journal system as part of academic transparency and will be accompanied by an official retraction notice or statement.
Editorial Rights
Editors have full authority to:
- accept or reject withdrawal requests,
- evaluate the reasons for article withdrawal,
- seek clarification from authors,
- and make editorial decisions in accordance with scientific publication ethics standards and journal policies.
Editorial decisions are final and based on academic and professional considerations.
